Ways to describe someone's voice:


1. Breathy (जब किसी के बोलने में सांस की आवाज़ आती है): used to describe a voice or way of speaking in which the breath can be heard.
E.g. Marilyn Monroe was famous for her breathy voice.

2. Thin (पतली और तीखी आवाज़): faint and high-pitched.
E.g. A thin, reedy little voice.

3. Brittle (बेचैनी वाली आवाज़): unpleasantly hard and sharp and showing signs of instability or nervousness.
E.g. A brittle laugh.

4. Dead (जिसमें कोई भाव ना हो): lacking emotion, sympathy, or sensitivity.
E.g. a cold, dead voice.

5. Appealing (एक ऐसी आवाज़ जिससे लगे कि आपको मदद या राय की ज़रुरत है): a tone of voice that indicates to someone that you want help, advice, or approval.
E.g. She spoke to him in an appealing voice.

6. Fruity (मधुर और गहरी आवाज़): mellow, deep, and rich.
E.g. Jeffery had a wonderfully fruity voice.

7. Gruff (कर्कश आवाज़):  rough and low in pitch.
E.g. She spoke with a gruff voice.

8. Gravelly (गहरी और कर्कश आवाज़): deep and rough-sounding.
E.g. His gravelly voice answered immediately.

9. Croaky (भारी या बैठी हुई अवाज वाला): deep and hoarse.
E.g. Jack's voice was thin and croaky.

10. Disembodied (जिसका कोई भौतिक स्रोत ना हो)
E.g. a disembodied voice

11. Nasal (नाक से आने वाली आवाज़): produced or characterized by resonation in the nose as well as the mouth.
E.g. a drawling nasal voice.

12. Hoarse (बेसुरा): sounding rough and harsh, typically as the result of a sore throat or of shouting.
E.g. a hoarse whisper.

13. High pitched (सामान्य से ज़्यादा ऊँची): higher than usual
E.g. A woman squealed in a high-pitched voice.

14. Taut (आवाज़ जिससे लगे कोई बेचैन या गुस्से में है): that shows someone is nervous or angry.
E.g. There was a taut edge to Sam's voice.

15. Shrill (चुभती हुई आवाज़): high-pitched and piercing.
E.g. He spoke in a shrill voice in the theatre.
